Kenner produced 10 original Care Bear plush toys and introduced them at the New York City Toy Fair in 1983. I'm offering the complete original 1983 set that includes Birthday Bear, Funshine Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Cheer Bear, Friend Bear, Grumpy Bear, Wish Bear, Bedtime Bear, Good Luck Bear, and Tenderheart Bear. All bears are 13" tall and have their original tags and "Care Bears" plastic heart on the back. They are very clean and are in excellent condition. VTG 1980's Care Bear Collector's Lot Plastic/Ceramic Figures, 6" Plush, and More
This lot includes everything pictured! Roughly 15 posable bears + 6 cousins, 5 ceramics, 31 small plastic figures, accessories, play set, 2 vehicles (both work), lunch bag w/thermos, luggage tag, paper inserts, Tenderheart pin, 5 books, kid's bed sheets (fitted, top, and pillow case), 3 plush babies, 11 6" plush, and more! I am the original owner - all of these are the original 1980's pieces Condition ranges from good to excellent. These have been in storage and smell musty. A few could use a good cleaning (I'll try my best to get what I can cleaned up)! Two pieces on the playset are broken (had a kitten as a kid who chewed the hell out of the ends). The Tenderheart Car Bath toy is discolored. The lunch bag has some staining, and a few items have a name written inside of them and/or still have original price stickers or the remains of them. 2016 Care Bears plush PROTOTYPES Baby Cheer & Bedtime - French doudou - Jemini
These are prototype samples of Baby Bedtime Bear and Baby Cheer Bear, made for the French Care Bear line by Jemini in 2016. They are attached at the ear via a plastic tag, which I assume was so they didn't get separated in the factory.Cheer Bear's tush tag says "Sample" on one side and "J&S KOREA WABI TOY" on the other. Bedtime Bear's tush tag says "Les Bisournours Baby" (French name for the Care Bears) on one side and has Jemini's name and website on the other. He also has a large paper tag attached to his star which says "WABITOY" on one side (which I'm guessing is the Chinese factory that made plushies for Jemini) and some notes in Chinese in the other. I used the Google Translate app to translate the Chinese text and it was confirming they they wanted the patterned fabric in the plushies's ears and feet, and something about the ribbons (maybe making them shorter or longer?).The sample bears are similar to the finished product. They have ribbons sewn on one paw and a star attached to the other. They were made to be "doudous", which in French refers to a comfort object for child, like a favorite blanket or soft toy they carry around. Since they're made for very young children, they have no plastic parts that could come off and choke a toddler.
