The soft toys were originally created by an American greetings card company, American Greetings, in 1981. Then in 1982, the entire Care Bears franchise was launched in New York City and soon became one of the most popular toys in America. There was a TV series, books, toys and even clothing based around the Care Bears. Each Care Bears plush toy was cuddly and featured a tummy symbol or ‘belly badge’ – usually a picture or symbol of their own unique character. Between 1983 and 1987 over forty million Care Bears were sold. YOU can own five of the original care bears ! (Condition: Pre-Owned)
This is a large lot of vintage 1980s Care Bears items. There are 4 large plush (see last two pics for added), a Baby Hugs, and a small sized plush. Three books, sticker book, 2 pairs of scissors, 3 MIP magnets, one glass, two poseable figures, plastic sun catcher, 9 little PVC figures, and a rubber car toy. The majority of these pieces are things I either consider too small or not high enough quality for me to list separately. Three of the plush have been washed but it left them with funky texture fur.
